Full Moon Report – 21st January 2019
Brace yourselves. The full moon in Leo that falls on 21st January is a full lunar eclipse and heralds the first major astrological shake up of the new year.
The drama associated with the Leo sign is likely to be prevalent at this full moon thanks to a challenging Uranus square aspect. Expect rapid mood swings, impulsive reactions, unexpected news and events and a feeling of uncertainty.
A lunar eclipse will always signal the end of something old and the beginning of something new. A chance to clear out the emotional baggage of the last six months and reset our emotions for what is to come.
Now is the time to reflect on your new year promises and see where you are. If you put out there that you were unhappy in work or your relationships, this full moon could signify crunch time.
Whilst it all may sound a bit dramatic (would you expect anything less from our Leo?), keep in mind that change is necessary.
We do not grow unless we are taken out of our comfort zones now and again and made to face the things in our lives that no longer serve us.
It may be safe and easy to plod along and accept mediocracy, it certainly isn’t life affirming or joyful.
As with all full moons, emotions will run higher, your energy maybe lower and your patience could be in short supply. But fear not, if you can harness the strength and warmth of our Leo friend, rustle up some self-control and keep an open mind, this full lunar eclipse could actually be a powerful stage setting exercise for the coming year.
Be honest with yourself. What is holding you back from a joy-full life? What are you holding onto that is toxic? Sometimes, holding on can cause you more damage than letting go. Be brave and fearless and most of all, treat yourself with kindness and honesty.
